When it comes to a bride’s wedding shoes, the options are endless. Do you want Christian Louboutin, Badgley Mischka, or Jimmy Choo? I tell clients to focus on these main concepts when picking a shoe:
1. Consider the theme and style of your wedding.
You don’t want to wear heels for a barn wedding or beach wedding.
You might not want to wear sandals for a black-tie wedding.
2. Think about wearing multiple shoes throughout the day.
By changing the style of your shoe, you give your feet a much-needed break.
If you are taking pictures outside and your shoes aren’t going to be seen, try a wedge that provides more comfort.
Just make sure that the heel is similar in height to the shoes you plan to walk down the aisle in, so your dress doesn’t drag in photos.
I also recommend a pair of comfortable dancing shoes for the end of the night.
3. Budget-friendly shoes are available such as Cole Haan.
You can easily accessorize basic shoes with shoe clips found on Etsy.
You can add satin bows or jeweled clips.
4. Wedding shoes also allow you to add a pop of color to your bridal attire. If it fits your theme and personality, go for it!
As I tell my clients, "Make sure you love your shoes because you will be in them all day!"
