The tradition of having a wedding cake has seen a drastic change over the years. Couples no longer rely on a simple traditional vanilla pound cake to act as a desert for their guests.
Clients are changing up the flavors, adding visuals (edible flowers, sugar flowers) and putting layers of essences into decadent icing. Cakes are becoming works of art for the reception.
Couples have also moved to the idea of providing dessert bars where guests can have a sampling of desserts rather than one slice of cake. They fill their plates up with crème brulee shots, pecan pie bites, brownies, French silk pie and anything else they can fit on their plate.
